RALPH CAMMACK

For Senate District 10
Running to represent Bradley, Brewer, Bucksport, Carmel, Clifton, Dedham, Eddington, Hampden, Holden, Newburgh, Orrington, and Otis in the Maine Senate.

I’ve lived in Penobscot County my entire life, and I know what it takes to serve this community. As the former Deputy Fire Chief, I spent my career responding to and preventing crises and disasters. Our communities need someone in Augusta who will fight for them and commit to doing what’s right for Penobscot County no matter what.

About Ralph

An experienced leader for Maine

Ralph Cammack was born and raised in Bangor, Maine. Ralph learned the value of hard work at an early age and got his first job at 15 working part-time at a local gas station. Ralph always admired his older brother, Jeffrey Cammack, who worked in the Bangor Fire Department and Public Safety.

In 1987, Ralph followed in his brother’s footsteps and went to work for the City Of Brewer as a firefighter and EMT. After 25 years on the force, Ralph was promoted to be Deputy Fire Chief of Brewer.

Ralph’s career in the fire department and public safety included being the Emergency Management Director for Brewer, lead Fire Inspector and Shift Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors for Maine Fire Chiefs and Penobscot Fire Chiefs along with Penobscot Regional Communications Center.

Ralph’s understanding of community, policies, and politics makes him eager to represent the people in the communities and bring this experience to the Maine State Senate.

On the Issues

Economy
Ralph supports Maine businesses that want to grow and new businesses coming to Maine. He believes Maine government should provide economic opportunities for existing and new business growth.

Property Taxes
Ralph believes that elderly Maine residents that want to stay in their homes should not have to pay higher real estate taxes on a fixed income. He is in favor of investigating and/or creating programs so elderly Maine residents are not forced to sell or leave their homes.

Life Safety
Ralph supports life safety and fire programs for all people, businesses, and schools. He is committed to having life safety available to them through programs, training, and resources of local police and fire.
